Disaster Relief Training
Individuals interested in working with through Southern Baptist Disaster Relief can attend Disaster Relief training courses, as they are periodically scheduled.
What is disaster Relief?
California Southern Baptist disaster relief is Christian love in action by meeting urgent needs of hurting humanity in crisis situations. Disaster relief is meeting those needs with loving care in a timely response. California Southern Baptist disaster relief efforts are coordinated through the Baptist's Men's Ministries Specialist, while national efforts are coordinated through North American Mission Board (NAMB). Contact one of the following to learn about disaster relief efforts in California or visit www.namb.net to learn more about national disaster relief efforts.
Those interested in working in the disaster area through Southern Baptist Disaster Relief must complete a Disaster Relief training course. Those completing the course will receive Disaster Relief identification which is required to enter a disaster area and a “yellow Disaster Relief hat” a Southern Baptist Disaster Relief distinctive. These training events are for new volunteers and for those who need to be re-certified.

The Fire Storms of California
On Sunday 10/08/17 we had an open house for the new Mobile Shower Trailer for Missions @Crossroads.
That same night Mendocino, Sonoma, Napa, Lake counties were hit by a very powerful, unusual, dry, hot and strong Fire Storm.
The result was a terrible loss of life and property.
The California Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Ministries served in many capacities. They set up the Mobile Kitchen capable of serving up to 10,000 meals a day, Crossroads Mobile Shower Trailer for evacuees and volunteers and offered spiritual care via Chaplians. Seven members from Crossroads Christian Church helped to make these services possible to those who loss so much.
